Borussia Dortmund's Moroccan forward, Hakim Bensebaini, has scored his first ever Bundesliga goal for the club on Saturday night against Werder Bremen.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined the German giants in the summer transfer window from French side Monaco, was on the scoresheet at Signal Iduna Park in the 48th minute as Dortmund won 1-0.
Bensebaini, who had previously been part of the Morocco national team, made his debut for Dortmund earlier this season and has since become a regular starter in the squad.
He is now looking to continue his impressive form and help Dortmund secure a place in the Champions League next season.
Dortmund manager, Lucien Favre, praised Bensebaini after the game, saying that he was delighted with his performance.
"His performance tonight was excellent," Favre said. "He's a player with great potential and I'm sure he'll have many more goals to come."
For Bensebaini, it was a dream come true to score his first ever Bundesliga goal for Dortmund. He has worked hard throughout the season to earn his place in the starting line-up and now hopes to build on this success.
Overall, it was a great day for Bensebaini and Dortmund fans alike, with the young Moroccan showing that he can be a valuable asset to the team going forward.
